Application forms for admission of Ph.D courses, 2011 are invited. The application forms are to be submitted to the Directors/Chairpersons of the institutes/University Teaching Departments at University campus latest by 30.09.2011. application form & Ph.D Ordinance have been placed at University website: www.kuk.ac.in.
Eligibility : The application form may be downloaded from the University Website or the same may be obtained from Manager, University press, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra on payment of Rs. 15/- for SC/ST/BC category & Blind candidates of Haryana at the counter and for Registered bookpost Rs. 100/-for general category and Rs. 55/- for SC/ST/BC Category & Blind candidates of Haryana. The applicant (except exempted from entrance test to Ph.D. Courses) from general category are required to pay entrance test fee of Rs. 500/- and SC/ST & BC Category are required to pay entrance test free of Rs. 250/- along with the application form. The said fee may be deposited through IPO/ Bank Draft in favour of Registrar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra/Bank Receipt of OBC at the University Campus. The applicants are requested to ensure their eligibility, the number of seats available and the alliance of the subjects from the Chairperson/Director of the concerned Department/Institute submission of their application form.
About University : The Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 as a unitary residential University and its foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Located in the holy city of Kurukshetra, land of the historical battle of 'Mahabharata' and the great message of Bhagwad Gita, its campus is situated on the western bank of Brahm Sarover (the holy tank) and extends over an area of over 400 acres. Starting with only the Department of Sanskrit, it has grown into a multi-faculty University as one of the premier centres for advanced study and research in the region.
