Candidates who seek admission to Masters in Pharmacy in Institute of Technology under Banaras Hindu University should have completed Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University. The minimum marks required to be eligible for the admission is 50 % in qualifying examination. Final year candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for post graduate programme in Pharmacy. Those who have completed 21 years of age at the time of admission can apply for M.Pharm in this University. Apart from this, they should have a valid score card issued by Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). Non GPAT students can also apply for the course.
Admission Procedure for Masters in Pharmacy
Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by M.S. University of Baroda on behalf of AICTE. Candidates who seek admission to the course are required to send application in prescribed format along with supporting documents and GPAT score card to the University within stipulated time.
Those who have not cleared GPAT exam will have to appear for written test conducted by the University. Admission to such candidates will be considered only if seats are vacant after the allotment for GPAT candidates. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for personal interview as per their scores in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. 5 % of the total seats are reserved for the candidates who are being sponsored by Government Organizations or Reputed Universities. Such candidates need not have valid GPAT score. Final selection will be on the basis of scores obtained in entrance exam as well as personal interview, conducted by the Department concerned.
